Kraken Off Season 24-25

Description
Seattle's woes in 23/24 came from scoring 60ish less 5v5 goals than the 22/23 season. I think the 22/23 season was a fluke in making the playoffs though. RF does show a loyalty to the expansion selected players though and overall I think he gives those guys one more shot as their contracts start to get moved out.

I'm pretty done with Tanev on the roster but he does one thing the coach loves which is forecheck, and I think that keeps him on the roster until the TDL. But for cap reasons someone needs to go. Kartye steps into that role.

The one reason I don't think they go after Guentzel or Reinhart is they need to re-sign at least 3 D in season and Daccord getting a pay bump. Additionally I think they will look for Morrison to take a step forward to provide depth at center but he really struggled to catch passes in his call up. Easy to fix but needs to get it done.

I don’t think Ottawa has the cap space to afford Tanev’s 3.5m on the third line.

Purely based on value I don’t mind it at all.

Thank you for the feedback. I think it could be any team in the east but had seen some interest from Ott and Buf on B.Tanev so just chose Ott.

I don’t know if his offensive numbers are good enough to be on line 3

Yeah statistically his worst full year in the league, can't really speak to Seattle's season as I didnt watch them much but it seems they had him on the 4th line. To be fair to Tanev, he put up the same numbers as Burakovsky and Yamamoto just with more games played. A point more than Tatar as well so it would seem that a lot of players had down years with the Kraken.

On another note maybe theyd be a good fit for Chychrun? Dont see a lot of mock trades for him to Seattle, Dunn is solid but Dumoulin, Oleksiak and Ryker Evans doesnt seem like an ideal left side.

I do think Chychrun would be a good fit there for sure

That would probably be either Oleksiak or Dumolin heading to Ottawa to make the space. I can't see Seattle having Evans as the #7 D for a second year in a row. And we know Schultz is out at the end of this contracts. I don't think the Kraken are married to either of them but at the same time, as mentioned in my notes, I think RF gives the initial expansion roster to the TDL to see if 22/23 was a fluke in getting to the playoffs.

I like Dumoulin as a 3rd pair LD for 1 year
