<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ennis</b></div><div>A trade between these two would make sense if it's a 1 for 1 swap, with Calgary adding a depth player like Ruzicka or Duehr to close the gap. Maybe Robertson goes back the other way because there's no room for him on the Toronto roster.</div></div>
I was literally thinking about adding Robertson to this deal after I did it lol

LEAFS 4
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>swinny</b></div><div>Tolvanen is the guy I would want actually. Keep him in, take out Bjorgstrand. In comparison, Tolvanen has upside and has some size to him as well and uses it effectively. Defensively better imo as well.
If Bjorgstrand was included to make the money work, I would sooner take on Eberle. He is on an expiring deal, and his post season exploits are exactly what the Leafs would need.
The hang up is going to be Oleksiak. Brodie replaces his game defensively, but we all now he will not match the physical element. But let's assume Francis bites. Oleksiak has term left.on a pretty good deal.
All in all, I would be inclined to suggest Eberle, Tolvanen and Oleksiak for Nylander, Brodie pretty much straight up. Forget the picks. There maybe an arguement the Leafs add a 4th. Maybe.</div></div>
Its funny that you mention Eberle lol, I was literally thinking about him over Bjorkstrand right after I did this

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KrakBirds23</b></div><div>Just so folks can follow along, this is what Seattle would look like on the proposed thread here: https://www.capfriendly.com/forums/thread/745700?post_id=4298535
My initial thoughts:
1) This is still a lot more nuanced trade as it is going to put Seattle right to the cap. A lot better spot top start this is assuming Seattle has 1M in space with Dunn going 8x8.
2) Even with the cap going up next year Nylander would need to re-signed before they would give up assets.
3) Remove Brodie and Tolvanen from the trade. Seattle doesn't need another D coming back.
4) This trade still doesn't make much sense from Seattle's perspective this year. Next year when you have Wennberg, Eberle, Brodie (In this example) and/or Schultz coming off the books it makes more sense with the expectation of some of the farm making the team.</div></div>
Can't disagree with any of those points at all. Honestly I was thinking the same after, about removing Tolvenan and Brodie, but I would still want Oleksiak back in the deal. That guy is a monster. Could you imagine the powerhouse they would be with Willy though, every team in the league would be in trouble. Definitely going to be interesting to see what happens with him. Ngl, I said trade him about 5 years ago and look what's happening now lol guy wants 10M and we might just have to trade him for nothing or let him walk

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KrakBirds23</b></div><div>Understood. I think RF and DH in Seattle are going for depth and more depth. It got them really far last year and they'll look for it to go further next year. When you look at how RF developed Carolina, think similar to that.</div></div>
I made another thread on what Seattle would look like with that trade. Look at it if you want, and let me know what you think?

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KrakBirds23</b></div><div>Toronto AC GM's are delusional. It's going to be fun to see them flip out when they get half the return they think they are going to get for Nylander.</div></div>
well, it'll probably be like the Debrincat trade tbh. But with Seattle's depth, I just thought that would be the best trade for both teams. Seattle gets rid of 11m and gives them enough to sign Nylander. And Toronto can add to their team and make it a little bit more balanced, especially with someone like Oleksiak... you guys are lucky too have him!
