But any deal like this would have to include another major piece moving to devils; maybe Brodie + Nylander for Hamilton + picks or prospects. Might work on leafs end - hate to see either go but Hamilton replaces Brodie and we have Domi to slide into top 6 and cap space to add

Dougie has no-trade clause. So it probably starts and ends there.

Unfortunately the Devils are too deep at forward to accommodate Nylander. I'd rather keep the star defenseman, even though he will decline while under contract, and get Holtz into a full time role before it's too late.
