Toronto gets a much needed LD and a little cap relief. , Columbus gets a similar player for Laine, Canes get the scoring punch they need who knows Aho and his moves very well.

Apart from the fact Jarmo likely won't trade Laine, don't think the leafs would do this.

Assuming Nylander and Laine would both agree to the trade, it’s not a terrible exchange of RWs, but unless Nylander also agrees to extend, CBJ would be on the losing end of this.

I agree Nylander needs to agree to an extension but considering the Bluejackets would only need to spend an additional million a year over what they are paying Laine, I believe they could get that done
