Nylander becomes a Pred.... next year in FA. Really gotta finish your sentences, people might think NSH is actually considering a trade for him.

Well it's possible since TOR only want picks and prospects in return so they can be under cap. NSH has the cap space

Yes NSH has the picks & prospects required for a trade of this magnatude.

Yes NSH has the cap space to complete a trade of this magnatude.

No NSH has no desire to gut their picks and prospects to add to the logjam of wingers prior to addressing areas of real concern for this roster. Yes Nylander is a wonderful winger, no we're not giving away assets to acquire him without at least establishing our 1C for now and the future.

NSH isn't trying to compete this year, we want to see what the kids have to offer long before bringing in a bunch of players. I'm not against Nylander in NSH but I'm 200% against giving up assets for any players this offseason. Not to mention it seems counter productive to move Nylander since TOR is seemingly going for it again this year and will want all the upper echelon talent they can get their hands on.

True Nylander might be a TDL move the same way if Lindholm or Hanifin or Backlund with the Flames might go

There's no wow piece in this deal to entice the Leafs.
Prokop is B prospect at best
I like Schaefer, but h's most likely a bottom 6 F in the NHL
Sward is AHL fodder
THe picks are Ok, but not high end.

If the Leafs are going to move Nylander, it's for a key piece or high end prospect + + None of that is included.

Starts with Tomisino and a first
