Foote, Filmon, Vanecek, 3rd, 5th for Hellebuyck

It's an amazing trade for NJ. Only problem is Haula would block it with his full NTC

Pretty easy no from Winnipeg. Nothing needed or of any quality outside of a mid to late 1st.

Winnipeg would opt for less quantity and some actual quality for a full year of both players when they easily get more at the TDL.

Trades don't work like this, it's not one team giving up a bunch of disappointing players and propects that have no potential left and very little value for a couple high end desirable players. There has to be something that the team giving up the high end players would actually value.

My Problem is with the Scheifle Part, Hellebucky could fetch that return. There is just no reason to trade for Scheifle, Haula has worked fine on the third, and even though Scheifle's offensive skills of course would be an upgrade his defensive play and work attitude are abysmal.

I think Scheifele is so much better than Haula that it doesn't matter at all. The price to make the move is just trading back 10-15 spots from the late first to mid 2nd. Last time we made a deal like that we were able to draft Casey

I say it again and partly agree with you, Scheifle is offensively much better than Haula, you are right about that but as the third-line center I would rather have Haula because of Scheifels bad defensive game and work attitude.

No need for Winnipeg to pay a 2nd in a deal like this. On top of that, it’s just really unnecessary for NJ to ship Haula out after signing a 3 year deal, for Scheifele who is more of a top 6 role and expires in one year anyways.

I agree on Haula, and he wouldn't waive his NTC anyway. I disagree that player roles matter, I think there shouldn't be such a thing as a "third line role." This was just an experiment to show that this proposal from trade machine is good for NJ since there were comments hating on it from both sides.
