Description

Anyone who doesn’t think these guys are making the playoffs is crazy. Don’t forget that the bruins went 0-3 against Florida with Bergeron in the lineup, 3-1 without him against Florid and 4-0 without Bergeron in the regular season. Also remember Montgomery loves to play around and tinker with lines. Pasta, Marchand, Coyle, Zacha, JD, JVR, Geekie, Lysell, Freddy, Lucic, Beecher, Brown, Lauko, Boqvist, McLaughlin, Steen, Megna, Greer & Merkulov are 19 forwards competing for 12-13 spots. That’s some impressive stuff right there. For the defence it’s one of the best D cores in the league. Mcavoy & Lindholm are a tremendous 1,2 punch and then Carlo is genuinely one of the most valuable shutdown defenders in the league. (He’s been asked for by every team sometime it seems) As much as Grz is small he and Mcavoy genuinely put up some of the best advanced analytic stats in the league together. Forbort is something else but is tremendous value on the pk. And to finish things off the best tandem in between the pipes with Swayman and Ullmark.

I would either give Geekie a shot at 2C or play Zacha at 2C with Lauko or Boqvist to his left. JVR on 3rd line gives you a lot more depth

I think that lineup MIGHT make the playoffs based on a very low goals allowed over the season. I don't think they have much chance in the postseason though. Offensively I expect this team to struggle without the centers or forward depth they had last season. Name a team with such weak center depth that has ever been a threat?

34 year old JVR at 2LW screams playoff bound.

The only positive for the B's is that their goalies could possibly carry them to the playoffs.
