I don’t think Dowder would be moved unless it’s for a lot. This is too much. Maybe it would cost this at the deadline if caps suck and there is a bidding war.

I think it would be for a good prospect and a pick instead of an older guy

Agreed. In this case tho, I view Jarnkrok as essentially a cap dump/cap casualty (even tho I think he’s worth his contract) but the Leafs can’t afford him it seems like.

So instead of putting him on waivers we pay a 1st and a 3rd to get rid of a 20 goal scorer from last year?

Ignoring that you lock up possibly the best 4c in the league at league min for 2 years?

We’re already set there. Hard pass on a 4th C for a 20 goal scorer a 1st and a 3rd.
