I would much rather trade Kubalik (who isn't that needed anymore with Tarasenko signing) and get an asset back instead

I think the 5th round pick should be given to Mtl so a 2nd and 5th plus Joseph for Pitlick. This is because Joseph has a 3 years deal.

Joseph only had 1 down season and still paced for 26 pts... He can easily bounce back from that and would probably even have positive value next offseason, particularly since the cap will rise a good chunk

He's more known for his defensive ability and particularly his PK prowess but he also had 30 pts in 69 games in 2021-22, which were all at ES or on the PK.

I wouldn't pay 2nd + 5th to move his contract. I'd much rather trade Kubalik (not as much needed with Tarasenko signing) for a positive asset, could even be a 2nd with his low 2.5 AAV
