In 2 years, that team will be deadly. Might need another top 4 D and another winger but that is easily patched

Yes I hear ya. This is the team without making any moves this season or next offseason. And I don’t see KA not making a move or two.

They might screw this potential dynasty by trading Kulich/Savoie for Hellebuyck. The only problem that can’t really be solved is cap space. When those youngsters are off their elc, it will be hard to keep them

No chance Adams does that. He already said Kulich and Savoie are basically untouchable. I would only trade them for a Travis Koneckny or Clayton Keller type in a package deal. And it would be Savoie. Kulich going to be a beast

If Kevin Adams is only willing to go for 6.5M wouldn't OP25 just take a bridge deal like RD26 did around the same time.

If Power’s agent accepts 8x6.5 he should be fired on the spot and the contract voided. That would be epic for the Sabres. Unfortunately, I don’t see it happening

Adams has a good record at getting good contracts as he did with TT and Cozens. The stuff I have been reading is anywhere from 6.5-7.5 on a 8yr deal. I may have low balled him a little

Yeah he could. Listening to lot of diff podcasts and they say believe he would get between 4.5-6 for bridge and 6.5-7.5 on a long term deal

I don’t see it. Pedigree, draft status, talent all lean towards a lot more. Idk what podcasts you’re listening to, and would love it if he did, but I just don’t see it

I think your lines are off

Kulich-Krebs-Rousek/Greenway makes more sense as a defensive line
I don’t see Rosen fitting in on that line at all

But regardless, we should be in really good shape moving forward - Future looks really nice for us

Rosen is too good to waste on 4 RW, would trade him for another Dman or Goalie.

Imagine, that line up does not include Benson (nor Wahlberg in a few more years).
I may be totally consipated (full of excriment), but teams normally do not have the cap space nor have 12 offensive capable forwards and need to put together a fourth line made up of checking goons who play 10 min/gm and are paid the league minimum.
Twelve forwards, playing Granato hockey will wear out nearly any team by the third period.
Trade Casey add Benson add bunch more picks from the Olofsson and Mittlestadt trades.
Then the picks could be used to draft well or add a RHD (Pesce?).

Finally, "Build a team of players who want to play in Buffalo!"
That my friends is a euphemism for getting paid less than market value, or Buffalo market value.
Let's hope Rasmus and Owen WANT TO PLAY IN BUFFALO and accept below market (Buffalo) value and as the cap increases Buffalo can still afford Quinn, Peterka, Savoie, Ostlund, Kulich, Benson, Wahlberg, Rosen, Johnson, Jokiharju, Levi, Luukkonen etc.
Considering contracts accepted by Tage and Dylan, Buffalo may be shooting for $9,000,000 and $7,500,000 for Rasmus and Owen.
Just remember Buffalo has an extemely low Cost of Living plus it only take 35 minutes to travel from one end of Erie county to the other.
It can take longer than that to get from the east side of Manhattan to the west side.

There’s also state income tax here & taxes in general are higher
I’d be SHOCKED if Dahlin signs long term under $10mil per
That $7.5 per looks light for Power as well

Just bc Tage & Cozens signed “team friendly” deals,
that doesn’t mean EVERYONE will
Dahlin & Power were 1OA picks, & at the time they sign their next deals they’ll have more of a track record of success.
It’ll be very surprising if they don’t cash in

I appreciate your optimism,
just don’t think you’re being realistic

This is the Buffalo discount to which I was referring.
Which would give: "Buffalo may be shooting for $9,000,000 and $7,500,000 for Rasmus and Owen"
We will see.
Cale Makar signed a 6 year / $54,000,000 contract with the Colorado Avalanche, including $54,000,000 guaranteed, and an annual average salary of $9,000,000. In 2023-24, Makar will earn a base salary of $11,000,000, while carrying a cap hit of $9,000,000.
Why should Dahlin get more?
If you look down that list Colorado is 18th and Buffalo is second.
That $9,000,000 would be a very good deal for him.

Every one thought Cozens would sign for $9,000,000.

Makar signed that deal THREE YEARS AGO

And i don’t remember ANYONE saying Cozens would get $9mil
I think you’re making stuff up to fit your narrative at this point dude

First of all, what does it matter when he signed that contract, that is his current salary so it is a comparable.
Makar has a 100 more NHL pts than Rasmus but played in 100 fewer games.
So go ahead and ignore the reality of Makar's contract, other contracts Sabres have signed plus the "Buffalo discount" and pretend Dahlin is WORTH $10,000,000.
So be prepared to be shocked! "I’d be SHOCKED if Dahlin signs long term under $10mil per"
Second YOU completely ignored the most important part of my comment about Buffalo.
Third, and most important, I AM NOT YOUR DUDE AND NEVER WILL BE!

It matters when the contract was signed bc contracts go up in value
Good grief, now i remember why u we’re on my ignore list
Back u go i guess, since u clearly don’t know how to reasonably converse with others

Also, i never called you “MY dude”
Words matter, maybe u should take a deep breath & reread?
