Skinner gives them more than Erik Karlsson does for them considering how good their blue line is offensively and how important Skinner been to the forward core. Regarding the price, there shouldn’t be 2 1st for EK65 without retention.

Regarding the Mantha trade: it’s terrible for Buffalo, with an offer like that, they probably just block MacLellan

I completely disagree as Krebs is a completely irrelevant and is a soft winger, really a center who has been a bust. Sabres get back two third round picks and Mantha who's on the last year of his deal, he's scored more goals than Krebs ever has and is actually a winger not a center that plays on the wing. He's big and can be really effective when motivated. Needs to be pushed by a coach hard to get him to play physical and with an edge. He gives you another big body in the lineup which is needed. Skinner is replaceable on the wing and the Sabres added the most talented offensive dman in the league. Sabres right side is extremely weak so this was a needed trade. Mantha is a cap catastrophe and Buffalo has invested a lot into Krebs already. He was just as good defensively as Mantha and is beyond cheaper and younger. Buffalo has no reason to make that move and especially not for two thirds.

Buffalo does not need another offensive defenseman. Dahlin and Power are more than capable of moving the puck up the ice and quarterbacking their powerplays. Buffalo's issues come from not having genuine top 4 DFD's who can clear the crease and smash corners. Karlsson is too old and expensive to fit their window.

Not sure if you should be making those comments since you don't seem to grasp a few things yourself. Calling Krebs a bust is not accurate at all, he played a 4th line role with 2 scrubs and played very well while putting up 30 points at only 21 years old. He plays up the lineup and that total is much higher, he takes Quinns spot on line 2 and he posts 40-50 pts easy. Calling someone like that a bust makes zero sense.
