I don't want him gone, but I'd rather have 3 solid RHD with Dumba, and Toews then him, and it's either him or Kulak to make it work. I think keeping Kulak is important for injury depth and until we know for sure what Broberg can handle. And it all depends on both Dumba and Toews taking huge discounts. For Dumba, it is a 1 year deal, so he can have a great year, and try again in free agency next summer when the cap goes up. For Toews it is a last chance at a Cup (one in Western Canada) and possibly Keith will put in a good word.

You may be right, but it is getting late in the summer and most teams are getting full, so it may take more enticing than it should to take on a $2.75M contract without retention.
