Playoff Push Team

Created by: mytduxfan
Team: 2017-18 Anaheim Ducks
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 28, 2017
Published: Jun. 28, 2017
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
My dream line-up heading into the 2018 playoffs. I like Kase, but, unless he does something special, I don't think BM and RC are that high on him. With Eaves, Perry and Silf locking up the right side of the top 9 for the near future, I could see BM letting Kase go for an all-in play.

***NOTE*** The team is over the cap if we had to pay Neal's full salary, but he'd fit nicely under the cap if he was traded for at the TDL.

decent attempt but i think u need to take it futher add in bieksa and at least one other sweetener that cap hit is BAD not wiggle room. i pretty sure vegas thinks they can get a huge return for neal at the trade deadline teams trying to get 1 player to push them over the top usually make foolish deals

Bieksa has an NMC and was actually not too bad in the playoff this past season. I only see him playing out the rest of his contract, unfortunately. Good point on LV wanting a high return. My thinking is that Neal (if not moved soon) will go for a 1st + weak prospect at the TDL. IMO, Kase is better than a weak prospect, so I lowered the pick to a 2nd. However, I agree with you that he may go for more. I just don't see BM moving that 1st this year. He's already said he's high on a number 2018 draftees.
