Why is this LTIR circumvention?

Technically with Kane missing til Feb. couldn't you sign him for his deal lets say anywhere from 1-6 mil and put him on LTIR til playoffs......... then it would cap circumvention :NODDERS:

Just a note on PTOs. Sure a team (in this the case) can sign them to PTOs, but in effect they are UFAs. Another team can sign to an NHL or even a AHL contract while still on a Pens PTO.

ure but if they still haven't signed yet I doubt the chances will be high plus if it did happen just takes a candidate off the board is all
