I'd pefer it that way but Bob Staufer has hinted at potential top 4 mins for Broberg to ease ceci's workload and I do not not want to see nurse with an broberg on his off side, I feel like tha would be a disaster and Ekholm has really taken broberg under his wing since he got here

I believe Brind'Amour is a free agent? could be wrong, but not sure why you're dumping foegele for 2 worse players, this makes our depth far worse just for a 23 man roster

Kenny Holland gets crapped on quite a bit but he really hit a home run with that Ekholm trade.

Suter is a better PKer, Plays C and has better D zone analytics and his finishing is better which is what the bottom 6 needs, if you say foegele is better than it's just by a fine margin for double the cost of suter

Suter is a coach's dream. Mr. Reliable. As long as he's playing on a 3rd or 4th line and killing penalties.

yeah i don't see how these guys think i made the team worse when i just got a C version of foegele for less money and another player on top of that, now the bottom 6 has a lot different combo's to work with

with Lavoie, Suter and holloway in the bottom 6 the finishing should improve since that was one of the struggles last szn, The D situation will be dealt with at the deadline when we see what we have with broberg and V,D potentially getting more ice time

Foegele scored at a 1st line rate last year. Suter at a 4th line rate. There's a pretty big gulf there offensively. Foegele is decent defensively too, although he doesn't PK much.

Edmonton could sign Suter for $1M without trading Foegele, although that would mean exposing either Ryan or Lavoie to waivers. I think that's your best bet (I'd go with Staal, but that's inconsequential). Don't sign Gagner (who is terrible defensively BTW), leave Pederson in the minors and the money works out.
