I would say more likely he's buried in the AHL tbh than a mainstay. Thrun is better and DQ likes him. Knyzhov and MacDonald might even be better as well.

yeah he's a great 6/7 defensive defenseman with great physicality at times, it's just we have so many 5/6/7 defenseman right now, many of whom are younger than Simek and probably slightly better. His injuries have really made it hard for him, feel bad for the guy. Maybe we can give him to a contender at the tdl.
