Devils aren't remotely interested. Holtz and Marino's contracts are far more controlled than Nylander and Liljegren

A first rd pick for Laughton, a 4th and a 5th for Seeler and Jarnkrock put up 39pts last year, his salary is only 2.1M for 3 years which fits the rebuild timeline.

A rebuilding Flyers should take the 1st rd pk in a heartbeat...Laughton has 3M/3 years - Jarnkrock has 2.1M/3years...pretty comparable player imo.

It is all about stacking assets for Philadelphia.

Cool but they turned down a better offer for Laughton already so why would they accept a worse one?

I doubt there was a better offer than this. I heard (which it is probably not true) that Philly rejected a 1st rd pk for Laughton. I doubt in the offer Philly rejected they were getting in return a player of Jarnkrock's caliber who is on a reasonable contract for three years. That alone is enough of a sweetner to pull the trigger imo.

I mean two of our most connected reporters on top of 3 national reporters have all said the flyers turned down offers of a 1st + from multiple teams but you can choose to believe whatever you want lol.

The Flyers rejected a first rd pk and a 2nd for Laughton, but it was from St. Louis which would have nixed the Flyers from moving Kevin Hayes. It was a superior decision to hold Laughton (who is under contract for three more years) because Laughton's value will likely remain relatively the same.

I doubt there were any other teams that offered a 1st plus a 2nd for Laughton.

Again you can doubt whatever you want that’s fine. But there’s been a better offer available for Laughton and if they declined it they would decline this too

Would you decline this trade, or do you think Philadelphia gets enough here that you would be satisfied with?
