Description
Low risk signings. Bailey and White have shined before and Patrick has shown sparks, maybe one of them really works out. It does give just alittle more NHL ready F depth. By the time Bear comes off LTIR sometime around the 1st of the year and the end of the KHL season, someone else is going on the list or worst case they can send the odd man out down to open cap. They would have 2 late season additions in Bear and Kova. They could do the same with Poolparty with a close to league min offer giving them 3 late season adds. The TDL is not going to be all that exciting for the Avs as they have very little trade stock and no way to accrue cap. Toews is our own rental piece. Wish it was not so, but he has priced himself out of Colorado. Avs could make deal next offseason for sign and trade, net a 2nd or 3rd. Top 4 will still be pretty good next year with BB, Makar, Sammy and Manson. If Landy is good next year and the new adds workout (RJ, Wood, and Colton), CMac has built a pretty good line up.

I think you have to either go Patrick or Bailey here. Both i think would be good for 3rd line at this time in their career, kind of make or break that could bring depth scoring, but having both is overkill because whoever ends up on 4th line you won't get what you want from them. Neither are role players and wouldn't bring the energy that you would want for a center between cogs and oconnor.
The same pretty much goes for bear. We have lots of puck moving dmen, 4 of the 6 are that in our current roster and about 90% of the pipeline is as well, i think if we do bring in another D it would be someone with more size and grit to be able to handle the dirty minutes and long playoff push, and most likely take mansons spot when he inevitably gets injured.
As for white, i think his contract pretty much says his worth, he'd be waived at some point during the season especially when kovalenko comes in.

I don't think that they are going to improve the roster at this point, only give it depth. I figured on one of Patrick or Bailey falling on their face. I think of Bear more as a two way, but ok. Bear just provides depth while getting a "loan" on the cap. They can keep one more waiver eligible player on the roster longer to see what they got.

I really don't have anything against bear, but i feel like carolina or especially vancouver would have kept him if he could really make an impact. He's pretty much been trending downwards since his first contract and coming in mid season off an injury is never easy to get up to speed. I think there are better options through trade that would become available closer to deadline. We have 7 d in the lineup currently so i'm sure the gm will let the season go on to see who looks good to fill JJ's full time spot

Not huge on bear. Pick one of the forwards. Probably Patrick at this point.
