Happy for Sabers fans, this team is already so talented, and there are still so many young players in the pipeline. There will be same good years for you to come : ).

Me too. Imo, a perfect mid-six pro to add to the forward group.

Oh well.

So it goes

It's CapFriendly, a place to speculate for those of us who'll never see the inside of an NHL war room

Right, I’m asking why you’re speculating we get him
U hearing some kind of rumors, or is he just a guy you’d like us to get?

I don't have inside info, just a personal preference as I think he'd be a great fit this season in a mid-six role. Also seeing what 'Peg fans think (obviously was an inoffensive trade for them so no feedback.)

He’s a decent enough player,
but i really don’t see us bringing anyone in right now
And we have Quinn coming back mid season at some point,
so we may not even make any forward additions at the deadline

Biggest hole i could see that needs filling (as far as the forwards go) would be a PK guy who can win faceoffs
Besides that, we’re in really good shape up front imo

All points taken. My thought process is this:

--the forward group is weaker without Quinn in the lineup and although Kulich could very well fill in as a top-nine winger, the Sabres end up with him (a rookie) and Olofsson as RW 2 and 3
--rather than risk potential problems on two of their lines, bring in Nino, allow Kulich to get rolling in Rochester, and while that's going on, find a taker for Olofsson
--once Olofsson is gone bring in Kulich full-time and allow for Quinn to take whatever time is necessary, and then some, to recover

I’m not saying it’s a bad idea,
but it seems pretty obvious that Adams isn’t gonna make a move like this
