Would rather have Myers expiring deal than 2 years of Armia
A late 2nd isn’t enough to make up the difference

Unfortunately that will never work. Canucks and Devils fans agrees to stop posting Hughes trades, but they don’t stop

The only positive thing I can say about this armchair, is that you didn't trade Myers to the Shorks. It's progress!

Some people on here are just dumb and disrespectful.

MTL, and likely every other team in the NHL declines. Garland will remain a Canuck. He was a late round pick who VAN decided to pay, you get to keep him now. Anyone who would want him would want him at ~3 mil for ~1-2 years, not his current contract. AnDeRsOnS cOnTrAcT iS wOrSe isn't an argument that is valid, we'll gladly keep him.

So remove those 2 and you're left with Armia & 2nd for Myers, easy no. The 2nd is the most valuable piece there and we'll just deal with the Armia contract, likely waive him at some point with a buyout coming next year.

Why would any of the non-Canucks teams ever consider these?

-Sharks get the more expensive and worse player for a NHL/AHL tweener.
-Montreal gets smaller and more expensive (when they need to manage cap space) AND gives up a 2nd to get cap relief when they don't need it.
-Nashville gets worse and more expensive.

Its a very obvious no from all three.
