Guentzel next contract is going to murder's this team for the next 3 years. They have this year to get it done and then thats all id imagine

If he gets 8 mill or less then they're probably fine. The cap is for sure at least going up by 3-4 million, that has been said by multiple different sources. Plus, with Carter's contract coming off next year that's more than enough to add to Guentzel's next contract.

Yeah, if Nylander somehow gets 10, hes worth 8. Cap should be like 87.5 after this year. that leaves them with like 3 million to add some youth into this retirement home. Id imagine everyone on this team takes a step back by next year too. I personally dont even think theyre in the playoffs this year

Not only the big cap increase but Carter's contract comes off the books too. They should have plenty of space next year to not only sign Guentzel but bring in another solid bottom 6 winger.

No they will bring up someone they drafted back in 2018 in the 6th round and he will become a superstar with crosby cause i guess thats just the pitt way for getting new guys
