The value is fine I guess but I don’t think the flyers accept it anyway because they expect both to be a part of their core moving forward

I agree in principle. On the flipside, the Blackhawks chose to sell guys at similar age ranges or younger (Hagel, Dach, DeBrincat) to stockpile draft capital. It will all depend on how far Briere will be willing to go for last place.

I'll tell you why; a lot of people see a Hagel-esque situation brewing for Cates and Tippett. If the Flyers are going to stink for a long time, both may not even be in their primes when they are good again.
