They can try to simply move on, but they’d pretty much be running it back with a similar group.

Let’s just hope they are either very good, or very bad.

I think everyone around the league can see how this season likely plays out. Jets will start off hot, they’ll start to tail off around mid December, team will be a bubble playoff team come to e TDL. Chevy decides to add veteran pieces, and doesn’t move Helly or Scheif. Jets make the playoffs as a wildcard team and lose in 5 again. We watch two huge free agents walk in the summer for nothing.

Again, someone who knows nothing about the Jets. The 1st failure of anyone projecting the Jets lineup is putting KFC, Ehlers and Scheifele together.

3 Power Puffs on 1 line means... 0 points.

The worst possible outcome but they really need playoff revenue soooo... 🤷‍♂️

Wonder how their season ticket sales drive is going, I'm hearing a lot of advertising for game pack options.

From the people I know I’ve heard they’ve had an abysmal ticket drive. Who knows, maybe a middling team and poor ticket sales can spark change finally….

Yikes! That's not good news, honestly I do worry about the long term viability of the team in Winnipeg, just not a wealthy city with changing demographics and there's a ton of factors working against them plus they seem to work against themselves as an organization both on and off the ice.

They can afford to suck for a few years to get better in the long run. The issues start to come when they stay middling for another 5 years and apathy sets in.

Would you say Winnipeg is a retool or a rebuild team?

Retool for sure. Can’t sustain a 6 year rebuild. But they can afford to suck for 2-3 years to get a high pick or two while trading valuable pieces for young players with potential.
