I posted this trade and I dont really like it , I just keep hearing Nylander connected to Islanders with Pageau being a piece coming back (mostly on hockeybuzz), he is an over paid third /fourth line centre and the leafs would not be getting anything to help replace what nylander brings on the wing and even if they flipped the picks the Pageau contract over next 3 years would be handicapping. The only player I would be interested in is Dobson but thats not happening. As a leaf fan though I am looking at all this from A Toronto perspective.

Absolutely agree. Giving away Nylander and taking Pageau would require a really great young player in return-basically Dobson, but the Isles wouldn't do that for 1 year of Nylander.

New York would have to figure out the salary difference…Palmieri to Chicago?
