Description

Pretty sure this has been proposed but I don't think quite like this. CGY would pay retention on Zadorov and if they want on Brodie to a 3rd party team leaving them cap room to make more moves they want. Brodie is a good replacement for Tanev and if CGY wants Timmins he can be thrown in or trade for a pick. It is a lot to give a 1st from TML but we have done this every year to try get better but this actually gives us the best shot I can think of with this team.

This makes the left side very weak. Zadorov is not a 2nd pair defenceman. I do like Tanev though.

Zadorov would be perfectly fine as a 2nd pair defenseman. McCabe would be a great 3rd pair. This would be a very strong left side.

He is 3rd pair everywhere he's been and is so because that's where he belongs. He's big and hits but he's not who you want playing big minutes.

So bad how misinformed the TML fnas are on here McCabe played less then 1 minute average then Zadorov. So you could easily play your 2nd pair and 3rd for 19.5 mins and then your first pair 21.5 mins average per night. Just see who plays better as pairs in preseason and then you are set. all your asking for out of Zadorov is 1 minute a night more!
