He would be amazing on the Sabres, with the talent he could have on his Wings. Money wise it just doesn't make sense with the 2 Centers we already have locked up. Even if Buffalo did this trade they would still have a decent prospect pool, just some of the Quality would be gone.

We are lucky to have a team that's loaded with higher end prospects, probably good enough to be a playoff contender (with some breaks, our division is rotten with talent), and at least some cap space. That makes us an appealing team to trade with. There's some realities that people don't get- our cap space is an illusion with dahlin and power needing new deals, and in something like the op, the Sabres are gonna wanna send some marginally unwanted salary back- somebody like mittelstadt (who will be needing a new contract and who likely doesn't have a spot at 5 or so million), or olofsson (short term 5m with value). Even for a very nice player at the (again arguably) most important position, nobody can trade away 4 or 5 high end prospects, and no salary, and take on 12 million per.

Yeah, it’s just annoying bc so many on here are making nonsense ACGMs “for fun” & all that leads to us arguments instead of quality hockey discussion

The type of ACGM u posted just leads to fans bickering
VAN fans saying “NOOOOOOOO WAY” and demanding Power, Dahlin, etc etc
Then Sabres fans laughing at that idea saying they don’t want Pettersson anyways

If u consider that to be “fun” then cool
But i think it just leads to annoying bickering,
which is why i commented
