Pasta is the better player currently and until Pettersson proves he can do more than put up counting stats on a bad team, his value in terms of elite status is more projection than actual. He’s not carrying his team to anything of consequence and he’s not top 5 or 6 yet, though I can see him get there. I expect him to get there and would for him to be a Bruin, but I wouldn’t expect the type of trade that would need to happen for him to swap teams
