No way Cuylle would be above othmann. If anything, Othmann would move to the RW and Cuylle up while Vesey back to the 4th line

Edström in a short stint for the Pack last year is projected at 3C for them. 4C in '24 would be nice.

I just put any random C they have to fill the spots and see how they look cap wise

I wouldn’t sleep on Leschyshyn either. He’s good at faceoffs and had 15 points in 18 games when he joined the Wolfpack

Leschyshyn also had 0 points in 35 NHL games. He is at best a AAAA player

If he’s an AAAA player, then what does that make Edström? Lol

Hard to know what Edstrom is since he hasn't played a full season in the AHL. He has a chance to turn into something but I wouldn't exactly count on that. Probably more likely they sign another vet or two at about league minimum to fill out the 4th line

I’m just saying No way Edstrom produces better than Leschyshyn in the AHL. There’s a reason one of them went in the 2nd round and the other in 6th round

Also you’re referencing points as a way to be successful in the NHL, when 4th liners rarely produce. He needs to figure out his game and he could be a fine 4C eventually

Edstrom doesn't have to out produce Leschyshyn to (eventually) be a better fit on a 4th line. And Leschyshyn was drafted 6 years ago at this point and hasn't been able to stick in the NHL, where he was drafted is irrelevant. There are plenty of examples of players that put up great numbers in the AHL but can't make it in the NHL.

Of course points aren't everything especially 4th liners, but the most effective 4th lines can still chip in occasional offense (being on offense is the best defense). 0 points in 35 games, regardless of role, is brutal.

All that said:
1. I would be happy to be wrong about him
2. If Leschyshyn being on the roster next year is my biggest complaint about the team, things are probably going well

I mean it sounds like he’s been unlucky. But he’s good at faceoffs which is rare for a kid his age and they could probably mold him into a defensive/PK 4th liner
