This team is just god awful.

Edmonton really needs to find a way to win in the next 2 years cause once Daisaitl is at $13.5M+ and McDavid at $15M+ the non-existent depth will be replaced with just 10 AHlers.

I'm not shocked by the lines / pairings,TBH. There was talk when Ekholm was acquired about him mentoring Broberg. They barely played together last year - understandable considering they were gunning for the division title and the Ekholm-Bouchard pairing was doing so well - but it's unsurprising that they would look at that pairing this season.

The top-9 looks pretty much set already. The training camp battles will be for 4th line spots barring further acquisitions.
