Pinto would cost more than this to acquire and he would be signed already if the Sens had enough cap room to fit Boqvist in.

The Sens blue line doesn’t even have room for Boqvist.

Boqvist is not worth as much as Pinto.

Additionally, the Senators don't have the cap space to do that. If they had 2.4M to add a player, Pinto probably would be signed to a bridge deal by now.

The players that Ottawa would want for Pinto, Columbus rightfully isn't going to give up.

I mean, I am sure Ottawa would consider Kent Johnson for Erik Brannstrom as well, but I think it would be unlikely.
