Line up is not even close. Thocheck is 2C and Wheeler will play RW. No way Kakko plays 3rd line and Lindgren is Fox's D pair, not Miller.

Yeah...Kakko needs to be 1RW

But Troch does make a lot of sense as 2RW: adds some D to that line w/ Chytil and Panarin. Can take some draws for Chytil (until he shows vast imorovement at the dot). And his salary fits a whole lot better in top 6 than 3rd line. And keep in mind- Panarin started to show some chemistry with Trocheck last year.

Of course 2 questions remain: who goes to 3LW, and who plays 3C. If the 3C solution would be an in house solution (Goodrow or Wheeler) then I'd probably put Kreider there. If they could pull off a trade for a young, upcoming mid 6 C (I know- good luck here), then I'd put LaF there. Either way- rolling the lines shouldn't affect ice time nor the PP units.

Chytil is 3C unless Lavi wants a checking 3rd line, in which case it will be Trocheck. Kreider is not a C and neither is Laffy and they don't have a lot of depth in Hartford at C. Drury is building the team around 3 centers, Mika, Trocheck and Chytil, all of which are signed for at least the next 4 seasons.

Mika, Trocheck, and Chytil down the middle is for sure the most likely scenario going forward. Just sayin though...if they did have the opportunity to pry a young C (like McLeod from EDM or Pinto from OTT), Troch does make some sense at 2RW. Of course these guys wouldn't come cheap- but NYR do have several chips that maybe could get some interest in a deal like this.

IMO, Mika, Troch and Chytil are sufficient 1, 2 and 3 C's, so no reason to give up assets to chase another young center. Moving Trocheck to RW fills a need but also creates a hole at center, so no reason to do that. Drury will find another RW, either Kane in November or possibly Laffy or Othmann depending how camp goes.
