Description

One of Marner, JT, or Matthews pull the LTIR card until game 1. Gio pulls a Spezza at the deadline and says he'll retire if anyone claims him, allowing him to rest up before the playoffs and giving Toronto more cap space. Reaves gets sent down because no shot he plays game 1, Jones is waived. Leafs add Hall and bolster the top 6, enabling them to roll out a complete pest of a 3rd line. They then have a defensive 4th line to use for matchups. On D, they add a steady presence to slot everyone down one and give Mo a proper partner, and the grab Lyubushkin for depth and in case Klingberg becomes too much of a liability at any point. Gio 7th D, Lyu 8th D. Broissoit because you can never have too many goalies on a run.

And the NHL changes all sorts of rules so no team can ever circumvent the cap this hard ever again ....

... and Tampa and Vegas, lol seems like LTIR cap circumvention is a requirement to win a cup these days
