Pageau prob isn't much of an upgrade over Zacha if at all, but getting a top 6 winger would help out for sure. I could see the B's going for a winger heavy offense

You made the team worse. And cap tight with a 20 man roster is suicide.

JGP is a defensive 3rd line center that wins faceoffs and tops out at 40 points. Boston has that guy already. Moving their most productive center to wing to make room for him is pointless. His playmaking skills are below average. He’s not suited for that role.

The offense did not improve while the D/goaltending took a significant hit. It’s a downgrade.

Pageau is a decent player, but the Islanders have overcommitted to salaries next year badly and they’ll be giving him away (maybe be paying someone to get him). I don’t think I’d want to pay him next year and would rather have the free agent spend

I’m not sure I’d do Boqviist and Forbort for Pageau with retention enough to keep a 22 man roster.
