Description

This would be the submitted opening day roster to fully maximize the LTIR relief meaning they can use the entirety of Poolman's contract to exceed the cap. After it's submitted the Canucks would send Mcdonaugh, Sasson, Rathbone, Klimovich and Tolopilo down and go about their roster business as usual

This makes perfect sense. Almost like you're reading Costonguay's mind lol.

I don't get the feeling PDG, Woo, Wolanin or Studnicka would be claimed. Though Dries and Irwin could. But how big of an impact would that really be? Irwin had a solid yr defensively last year but his contract suggests no market materialized for him. Dries I would worry if injury bug struck at a camp early. But, again this makes perfect sense.

Rathbone would likely quietly demand a trade if sent down again but it just hasn't worked like hoped.

Probably would keep podkolzin on the roster adn send down mcdonogh to account for podz performance bonus potential

This is ideal, however, players will need to go through waivers for this perfect cap setup to happen. PDG is someone that might be claimed. Wolanin as well.
