As if a team is going to offer 3 1st round picks and a very promising center prospect with 2nd line potential (value of Beck is a high 2nd maybe later 1st depending on the team) and another roster player worth a mid 2nd as well for a 2nd line center. That's almost the price of going after Pettersson who is a true 1st line center.

Considering giving a total of THREE 1st round pick in value & a 4th round pick, and you said the offer isn't enough to have a player like Zegras.........

That's what I see it's more an MASSIVE overpayment by Habs management......

This is over paying imho. If you're going to over pay don't do it. At that point ight as well send Caufield to Zegras and have them over pay.
