I think they'll be moving a LD but not so sure it'll be Zboril. I also doubt that Lohrei makes it out of camp.

I hope he does make it out of camp. No better way to learn than giving him that 2nd line LD. Can always send him back down

Let's give him another year. We won't be great this year and don't want to hurt his confidence. Give him another year to grow in to his frame and adjust to pro hockey.
Was a minute eater last night, but looked a little slow in the feet even compared to Carlo, and gave up a few chances trying to be a little too cute and pinch.

Merkulov and Lysell looked like they got bullied off any puck out there so i agree holding them
Mitchell/Boqvist looked like the best players on the ice last night. so hopefully they get a full time shot.

I love that line 3 though. Could be a really sound line.
Line 1 i think they mix in a younger kid, or go JVR just cause Pasta will elevate whoever so much, and it gives line 2 a chance even if Coyle not the best Centerman

The team won't be awful so he shouldn't be bothered by that. A full season might be too much but, I don't think he's ready now either. Start him down for let's say 20 games, see how he plays, if he's really good; bring him up, play him on the 3rd pair against bottom-6 competition and see how he does. If he isn't ready, keep him in the AHL. We'll see how the rest of the preseason goes,

I don't really see a market for Zboril, I don't think anyone is high on him. Probably more likely he gets sent down than traded.

I also believe Lohrei isn't ready for the NHL just yet. He's entering his first season of pro play, he should start in the AHL. In my opinion Mitchell > Zboril from what i've seen right now.

I havn't liked what i've seen from Heinen, don't see him or Chaisson getting a contract.

I would love to see Poitras get some games with Pasta, then send him to juniors.

Beecher is making the team. Lysell is probably the next closest rookie, but could still see him starting the year in PRO. Merkulov hasn't impressed as much as I thought he would.

Well said.

I think Poitras is more ready then Lysell tho. Lysell has not impressed me.

I think there is a chance they give Poitras 9 games, if they do that means someone else placed on waivers. To keep him up full season is a tall task.

i'm totally ok with that too. Lots of mismanagement (from my perspective which means absolutely nothing lol) of prospect development. I mean they can't all be busts right?! so i'd rather the take it slow approach, but this is a good plan imo

Oh I'm totally with you. Poitras should get 9 games if he continues to impress. And if he does, he's definitely closer to NHL ready than Lysell. But I agree he should be sent back to juniors after, then revisit the idea of calling him back up in the new year depending on Boston's need for a top6 centre.

The other question is how much does the front office value Greer or Brown. If they really like one vs the other or are scared of losing both to waivers, that probably kills the idea of Poitras getting 9 games.

I don't see either getting claimed, but what do I know.
