I'm not sure how much Washington values Stranges, i'd say from the Capitals side it hinges on whether they value Stranges at a 3rd round pick or higher. But from Dallas's perspective, I struggle to see the need. Edmundson has struggled with injuries (and is currently out for a few weeks) and hasn't shown he can be significantly better than Hakanpaa defensively for a couple years. Unless Edmundson returns to his 2019 cup winning form in Washington, I don't see a reason for Dallas to make this move, as it seems lateral at best.

Edmundson isn’t better than anybody currently in the lineup. DeBoer and Nill still value Suter for some reason so I doubt he’s the one that comes out. Suter hate aside I’d still rather have him than Edmundson. If Dallas and Washington are getting together in a dman trade I’d want Jensen
