At 38 yrs old Fleury is one wrong twist or turn from hanging em up. I would not rely on Fleury at 38-39 yrs old to carry any team to a Stanley cup.

This wouldn't solve the problem from last yr or the problem we will probably have this yr.

My focus is on Lankinen being the Kings #1 but he has to take it from Fleury. Both have much better numbers over the past few years than the goalies the Kings are icing.

You might be on to something with Lankinen, I wouldnt have too much faith in that though simply because while backing up Saros he was good but when put in the spot light in CHI he was not good. Granted both team defense aren't very good it could be a toss up. However with Fleury if his playoff performance last year is any indicator of how his season will go this year I'd say the guys career is over. He has always has good playoff stats until last year which tells me he is starting to fall off.

The issue is with LA, we were hoping Quick would have imprinted his professional play on Cal Petersen. We are somewhat improvising on how to address this. To me we should what the Wild did, have an established vet goalie and then try to buy low on who is your real starter. To me it seems like Talbot still has some in the tank, if we can find another vet goaltender and a backup with starter upside I think we are set next season.
