Description

With the objective to trade away Palat a year later and potentially Haula and Mcleod to extend LHughes, Holtz, and Bahl. Palat will be replaced by Clark. hopefully cap space is sufficient to resign VV as well, otherwise we must hope that Schmid and Daws will develop in the next 2y, that there‘s no need to extend with VV

That is one disaster of a Olofsson contract, he is not a very good NHLer. The Devils (or any team for that matter) shouldn't go anywhere near that.
If the Devils aren't offering that deal to Toffoli then I'd much rather give that contract to any of the following UFA fwds, all way superior to Olofsson:
Marchessault
Arvidsson
Duchene
Novak
DeBrusk
Bertuzzi

Like Tintin said, there are better options out there over olofsson. Plus nice disaster Rico deal too. Good job on wasting all the cap space too. PS If rico wants to come back hell take a cheap deal not a terrible one like you suggested.
