Description

It does Zac Jones no good to be sitting around as the 7th defenseman. Last year, Drury was able to get a 1st for Nils Lundkvist, but I don't see the same thing happening for Jones unfortunately.

Vancouver seems to be in need of an LD - is this too much? Too little? Or have another suggested landing spor for Jones? (The trade is done tomorrow assuming Studnicka clears waivers so he can be sent to Hartford.)

Small LD isn't really something the Canucks are looking for

Honestly i don’t know who could use a bottom pair puck moving defensman. They might hold him if there’s no market

Canucks need size, not more small players. They also don’t need LD, they need RD.

Canucks LHD under contract for 2+ years:
Hughes
Soucy
Rathbone
Wolanin
Hirose
Pettersson

Jones is not enough of an upgrade on any of them, especially if the ask for him is a 3rd+.

Just keep Jones and rotate him with Gustafsson…not gonna win a Norris, but has shown he can play in league.

Van might do rathbone for jones to give both a change of scenery but definitely not giving up this kinda value for jones.
