Description

Season opener will be played shorthanded. Game 2, if Arvidsson isn't ready to go the Kings will be able to use an emergency recall for Jordan Spence and will go 11/7.

Game 3, one or both of Arvidsson or Kaliyev will be back in the lineup, and the emergency exception for Spence will end. He'll go back down on a paper transaction, and Laferriere will be sent down to make room for a permanent recall of Spence (at least until Clarke is NHL ready).

That 3rd pair might be a problem. So unfortunate that Spence doesn't get the role he earned.

Because he can be sent down without waivers, and we are down two forwards already. So Laffy gets the nod.

Only for 2 games at the most, and is necessary to keep Kaliyev on the roster to serve his suspension. If they recall Spence, they have to demote Kaliyev, and his suspension will linger indefinitely until he is recalled.
