Nah, they likely won’t change anything.

They are not taking their best defensive center and moving him to wing where he has historically not been as strong.

Forbort is not getting top 4 minutes, especially with another stay at home D man that does not have a transition game either.

But if they did. First line works.

2nd Marchy-Potsy-Freddy
3rd JVR-Coyle-Geekie

I like Geekie better at center than wing. He will move there if Potsy sent to jrs. If not he will just be injury fill in, night off replacement.

If they tinker with anything it would be the PP. The first unit looked lost without Bergy in the bumper.

It's fine the way they are. Keep them together for a bit so they can build chemistry. After 4-5 games, it if works, keep them. If not, make a change. Lindholm and McAvoy separated is more valuable as they can have two solid pairs. Forbort-Carlo will struggle to move the puck. Ideally, they're never together except on the PK.

I did not mean to change the defensemen, just most not have changed them from where CapFriendly has them.

I could see a March - Poitras - Fred line.

Very small sample size but at the end of the game the JDB - Zacha - Pasta line was buzzing and I was trying to see how best to put that together while still having a usable 2nd line.

We've already seen what happens when Coyle is on the wing and it is not pretty. He's way more effective being a C
