All underrated team

Description
A common trend we know of in the NHL is good players getting overlooked in smaller markets. I'd also argue nationality as just as big of an issue with recognition, European players get overlooked quite a bit, and US born players do too, but to a lesser degree. Anyways, here's a lineup of players that have stuck out to me over the years that I don't see getting enough attention.

Please let me know any other underrated players in your opinion in the comments here, I'm always curious.

*Poitras is the exception, since he's a recent breakthrough prospect. Minten is the best comparable for him (both 2022 2nd round pick centers who made their NHL teams this year) and considering he's arguably a better prospect than Minten, it's wild to see how much attention Minten gets compared to Poitras.

I'd have to agree with most of these but players like draisital, dalhin, heiskenan,and rantanen are finally starting to get the respect they deserve.
Totally agree on vejmelka though

Agreed, those guys are superstars. Dahlin especially is getting recognized. Rantanen and Draisaitl are still a bit overshadowed, more so from talent on their own team

Don’t know if Leon is unrated he’s considered 2-4 best in the league by everyone

From my team…Hischier and Bratt probably

In general…I think high-minute, low-GA dmen are often underrated. Possession forwards who often don’t put up big counting stats. And leaders/vets who have both SCF experience and lottery team experience (I stole that last one from someone else).

Debated Siegenthaler. But good points. Guys like him and Carlo, even someone like Brodin. Possession forwards without much production is Charlie Coyle lol.

Charlie Coyle is probably underrated...partly due to his contract
