The fit actually makes sense

Created by: MaxBorjshlapsky
Team: 2023-24 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 16, 2023
Published: Oct. 16, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
The trade is sort of clickbait for the thread, has nothing to do with the purpose of this acgm team basically.

Credit to rajvinder for staying on the kane train

Many are putting Kane on the Leafs but I didn't see it really the Leafs seem set upfront

But since minten the 19 year old is centering the 3rd group although he is playing great the Leafs do have time with him and Domi is on the second line could go to the third but also Kane has played well with Domi in the past he also could play in the top 6 and Nylander can move to the left

There are options for sure, Kane has talked about his appreciation for Toronto and Matthews

Kane being from Buffalo is actually much closer to Toronto than it is to NYC

And reports have been Kane has been training for his return in Toronto now I would expect that's just where he can find the best training for him but it's still in the same city

Actually after thought jarnkrok had won faceoffs so clean and that guy is playing great too especially for Kane's place in his career and expectations maybe third line rw is a great spot jarnkrok the centerman Domi on the left

We could keep him but I don't see how he fits on the Leafs over anyone in the top 9 that's why trading him so he can maybe play in the NHL might be smart....might.

Probably play the whole year in the AHL I'm guessing now just to make sure he can stay healthy for a full season regardless of how good he does if he stays in Toronto.

You let him play in the AHL then he has a spot next year.

I don't know

LW bertuzzi knies Domi
RW Marner Nylander jarnkrok

Where is Robertson going? Don't answer but anyways I don't think he makes sense on the team, he could play in the NHL I think for sure but on another team I think.

You do know Bertuzzi and Domi are 1year deals right and Domi can also play center. Robertson can have a spot when either an injury occurs or next season heck he may force them to trade someone if he continue his strong performance

Trade Domi, he's dead weight. Is as bad defensively as predicted and isn't good enough offensively to make up for it. Get rid of him as soon as possible

Robertson lacks physicality. It is time for the Leafs to stop fielding teams that get made look like little boys in the playoffs.

But thats just silly talk. You dont need to be physical to be good

Nylander isnt physical but is good, Point is not physical but is good, the whole need to play guys who put up 100 hits is silly

If Robertson averaged 20 goals and 40 hits thats fine.

He had 18 hits in 15 games last year before his injury, played a full season probs would have 50 hits or more.

As long as they produce and do work they be valuable dont always need to be physical. You put guys around them that complement those areas of want
