Damn that’s interesting, Brodie is one of the best d minded RD in the game and would be a loss for TOR but doesn’t really help the sharks much more than Rutta, but does free up a spot for next year and maybe Brodie at 50% retention could get us a 2nd At the TDL!
Sturm for Robertson is purely for his potential as right now Sturm is a far better piece.

All in all I think I accept based on the thought Brodie gets flipped again for more assets.

That’s what I was thinking. Brodie would be nice for leafs to keep but will not be with the team next year. Brodie is definitely the leafs best defensively responsible guy but they are missing guy with physicality,size and shot blocking capabilities. Size down the middle for playoffs is needed as well. Robertson needs a fresh start and leafs have players like him in the system

Columbus can’t take on bodies, especially not defensemen. Sure, of course you want more for your mid-20s RD who were former first or second round picks themselves. But at a certain point you need their absence more than you need too value. So yes, a third or a fourth for Peeke is fine at this point.

Yeah I'm good with this. Brodie is moveable at the deadline. not thrilled about LTIRobertson . SJ is eating cap so i think a better asset then a 3rd would be needed
