Description
Granlund could be back

Hoffman has been bad, scratch him for a game
lot's of defenseman haven't been good, definitely Vlasic, but also Benning/Rutta
Eklund has been one of the only good players, let his playmaking shine with Hertl/Duclair on top line
get Zadina out of the bottom 6
get Peterson out of the middle
move Kunin down
Ferraro/Burroughs has been good, so has Knyzhov/Emberson
Blackwood has had some really great games, but also not great moments, I feel like Kahkonen has been more consistent. could go either way

Swap Zetterlund and Labanc, Hoffman with Peterson and i agree. Hoffman and Peterson have both been awful but at least Hoffman has more potential.

I might even put Duclair on line 3, hes been invisible too

There’s zero chance Quinn does the right stuff.

I mean a line of

Eklund - Hertl - Zadina/ Zetterlund

Is by far our best possible line and hasn’t really be considered.

Next it should be

Duclair - Granlund - Zadina/ Zetterlund
(Duclairs not gonna wake up by being put in our bottom 6)

I’d actually like to see
Bordeleau - Strum - Labanc
Peterson - Carpenter - Kunin

Or scratch Peterson but keep Carpenter for a few

Also for pete’s sake, scratch Luke Kunin. He has been absolutely abysmal all year long.

Duclair needs a message sent to him if he doesn’t pick it up very soon. He simply hasn’t been good enough. A couple games in the bottom six when Granlund is back might get him more assertive because he and Hoffman have been way too passive.

The whole teams been bad; I wouldn’t necessarily highlight Duclair. He’s a somewhat one dimensional player and never has been much more than just a good offensive winger (it’s not bad to be a good offensive winger) - who got traded to the leagues worst team from a cup contender. I’d let him stew for a few more games see if he gets a bounce and gets going.

I’d give him a few more

The real question is why would a shorks fan want a win this year? If we're going to be this bad, we might as well break some records doing it. Do you remember what those three wins in the last 9 games did for us last year? Winning does absolutely nothing positive for the shorks.

Zetterlund/Labanc swap could make sense, it's just Labanc has more scoring potential and Zetterlund is an ideal 3rd line player. Don't think Labanc has been bad. I think Peterson's been better than Hoffman so far. Duclair on top line to hopefully get him going, we need him to be good, either to re-sign him or for a trade.

scoring touch is not there at all, but I think his effort has been good, which is why I have him on line 4

I personally can't even root for them to lose or a tank, but even if you are, this team needs a win now. Moral has to be completely in the toilet and something needs to go right.

Duke has been top line most the year. He and Hertl simply don’t have chemistry. I think he will have success with Logan when he returns but for now Duke on the third makes sense to me.

Kunin is an AHL player. Plain and simple.

One win isn't going to improve moral. Dead last is dead last. I'm sure everyone on the team knows it's going to be a very long and unexciting season. I suggest the shork fans do the same. This is why I highly recommended the shorks don't play their high end prospects in the NHL. This season will destroy Eklund and Bordeleau. Just like winning games, playing our prospects will do nothing positive. Their growth will stunt because of it and this ''retool''/not rebuild will take much longer. I'm calling it now.
