Trades
1.
BOS
  1. Foegele, Warren
  2. Skinner, Stuart
  3. 2024 1st round pick (EDM)
2.
BOS
  1. Lindholm, Elias ($500,000 retained)
Additional Details:
It’s basically Lysell, Harrison, and a #1 for Lindholm. I think that’s market. I will suggest that Geekie and Foegele are decent cap filler.

I don’t believe Calgary gets a better package, so I hope they are signing him long term

A mid 1st and a decent prospect can be matched pretty easily tbh

That’s market value for a pending free agent. It ties quite well to the Bo Hovart deal. I’d take Lysell over Raty, but there is an argument if you don’t pay attention to skating. The pick is comparable to where the Islanders were at the time of the trade

If Calgary can sign Lindholm, they should absolutely do so. You never get complete value on these deals when they are pending free agents

Lindholm is a much Better player than Horvat also the 1st was alot more valuable than EDMS 2024 1st, I think there able to get more

At the time of the trade, Horvat was playing at a level that Lindholm hasn’t reached though I agree I prefer Lindholm some over Horvat.

I’d love to see see what deal you think is better. My guess is most contender picks are worse than what Edmonton’s looks like right now. It’s easy to say, but my belief most deals Calgary fans think are worthwhile would be considered not likely.

I could see Boston using a similar package to secure Hertl whose already locked into a contract and wouldn’t have to be bought out of free agency.

Everyone knew Horvat was getting carried and wasn't going to maintain that past that year, with Ulmark Edmontons pick isn't going to be high, I think your looking more so at a dobuis level return with an upgraded pick.

Dubois was signing 8 year contract deal during his 25th birthday. Lindholm will be signing his at 29. That 4 years is an eternity in terms of risk.

If you can secure it, great. Im OK using a similar package to secure Hertl or Lindholm. Lindholm is probably 20 spots higher on the top 100 list, but I like Hertl’s contract better .

On a side note, I need to stop recommending trades that get rid of Ullmark. Enough said. 8-0-1
