Tough one for Oli fans, I get it but 🤷🏻… mix disgruntled superstar with allure of hometown which also happens to be the most popular, richest team in the league. Not saying it’s gonna happen but … it’s gonna happen 🤞

Disgruntled? Yeah it's clear they've had a rough start to the year but outside of the cup winners (Vegas and Colorado) Edmonton has had the most playoff success/growth within the last 2 years. Making the conference finals and giving the cup champs the best series they've had. Yeah it's clear they need to make additions to the defence if they want to win a tough gritty series but the offence is there (yeah and the depth scoring) and goaltending is so hot and cold that unless they can grab a top 7 guy I don't see any reason to overpay. Edmonton has got 3 years to get it done and if Holland grabs that top-4 RD they can get it done. If in 2 years they haven't even made a cup final yet then we can have this conversation.
