I can tell you firsthand right now that Treliving isn’t happy with the lack of push back in terms of stepping up for your teammates. Mind you the “snot” wasn’t on the ice when the injury happened to Liljegren but Treliving was hoping for more of that to rub off on guys and have them step up when they’re not on the ice and he isn’t happy that it hasn’t yet. But he also doesn’t control when certain players are on the ice or benched/scratched - that’s on Keefe. I doubt guys like Bertuzzi are scratched, but there needs to be more accountability in the room and on the ice.

I can’t believe Marchand wasn’t penalized for that play on Liljegren and I’d be shocked if the league even looks at it at this point. Dirty, dangerous play that resulted in significant injury and no suspension? Wes McCauley needs to stay away from any game that Sheldon Keefe is coaching. League is a joke.

How do you know Trevliving isn't pleased... If he truly wasn't, he would have made a move already. What about the shift after? Or Bert laughing with Marchand after the play? Bert is supposedly dealing with injuries, so give him a few games

Marchand should have been suspended at least 3, with his reputation but Bettman being Bettman

Timmins is not coming back anytime soon. McCabe is out for at least 2 more games.
Your 3rd pairing choices are now Benoit, Kokkonen, Neimela, Villeneuve and Lajoe, none of which are appealing.
I do think Reaves is now too much of a defensive liability to play and needs to be bounced out of the lineup or very limited play. Scratching Bertuzzi makes no sense at all.

Leafs are going to have to make some very hard decisions very soon. They cannot weather this storm. They need to add at least one quality D and they dont have it on the farm.

Then, that just sucks... why can't Treliving just trade fir Tanev and Zadorov @50% for Klingberg, 1st, 3rd and 2 5ths rn?

Zadorov-Tanev
Gio-Niemela (Yes, try him out and see how you like him)

Instead of:
Rielly - Brodie
Gio - Klingberg
Lagesson - Lajoie

I know people within the Leafs organization that are close with Treliving. I don’t know Treliving personally but the guys I do know have told me he isn’t happy.

Making a move isn’t as simple as just wanting to. They’re willing to give things time to see how it progresses but he’s not scared to make a move if needed. You also need 2 to tango if a move is to be made so another team would have to be interested in a player on the Leafs and be willing to give up what they’re looking for
