What's with the logic in the Seattle trade?

Why would you go out of your way to spend assets on a goalie you claim to be worse than Campbell when he has a higher cap hit with the same amount of term?

How does that help Holland save his job?

Patrick Kane would, could, and should probably demand more to play in Edmonton than league minimum

I still value Grubauer higher than Campbell this why I added assets. I said that Grubauer isn’t that better than Campbell, I didn’t claim he’s worse. Both goalies are struggling and being overpaid with 4 years left. Just one is making 900k more. Added the pick and low end prospect to really force Seattle to make this one otherwise 1 for 1 it doesn’t go trough. Who knows, Grubauer can easily bounce back with the Oilers and he has the talent to do so.

That’s rearranging deck chairs on the titanic. Double down on the overpaid goaltender hoping that a change of scenary will do him good. You’d be better off retaining 50 percent on Campbell and trying to secure a good goaltender like Ullmark or Saros
